Watch the video and see my story.

I am currently a MFA candidate at Savannah College of Art and Design. I also am a wife to a US Army Ranger. My body of artwork that I will be exhibited and have based my thesis off of has to do with my experience of being a wife to someone in the military.  It is through decorative patterns of my own design and installations of homelike scenes that I express the hardships faced when going through deployments. It is my hope that my work will instill an appreciation for all the men and women that are part of the military forces, whether they are soldiers or their families. With your donations you will not only help fund this exhibition, but all proceeds with be donated to Honoring Sandrino's Sacrifice Fund. The show will be held August 8, 2013 in Savannah, GA at The American Legion Post 135 in Memorial of US Army Ranger, SGT Alessandro L. Plutino who was killed in Afghanistan August, 8 2011. SGT Plutino's family and friends created Honoring Sandrino's Sacrifice Fund that raises money for scholarship for graduating seniors in his hometown as wells as made donations to other organizations that actively help soldiers and their families. The emotions that come with loosing a loved one or worrying everyday about what life would be like without them, is harder than some can even understand or care to. It is my hope that my artwork will help create more than just awareness, but a better understanding about how hard and demanding life really being part of job that not only may ask you to give time from your family, but your life as well.
